Time Mirror - Di Mainstone
Commissioned for a temporary exhibition by Lakes Unite and Blackwell House in the grounds of Bakewell, and now permanently located at Grizedale Sculpture Trail, ‘Time Mirror’ was conceived by multi-dis artist Di Mainstone, and designed and produced by Raskl.
The vibrant powder coated ‘Blackwell blue’ steel kaleidoscope overlooks Lake Windermere. The structure itself has a custom-made brake lever which automatically locks into position when released, making the interaction very intuitive and satisfying. The polished mirror on the inside generates some stunning geometric patterns whilst also creating a different experience for every person.
