Terry Frost Building

We have worked with curator and arts commissioner Matthew Jarratt on a wide range of projects, often involving interprting artwork in large format installations.

Developer Alumno sought permission from the family and estate to name their latst building after Sir Terry Frost, one of Britains most influential abstract atists, who was a fellow at the University of Leeds and went on to teach at Leeds School of Art.

We were tasked with greating a giant sculptural interpretation of Terry's painting "Red, green and black," to adorn the atrium space in the new building.

The 3m x 5m piece was commissioned after the atrium was designed to required a complex installation design methodology, which includes an integrated wwinch and hoist system which enabled installation without any significant plant equipment.
